At Maison Broussaud, each collection begins with a vision.
At the heart of this foundational stage is Alexandra Broussaud, who imagines the creative universes that bring our future collections to life. She observes emerging trends, draws inspiration from nature, materials, history, fashion, and French heritage to compose unique graphic designs.

Patterns , atmospheres, color palettes, texture effects… these initial explorations form the creative matrix from which the House’s iconic designs will emerge.
A job where balance counts as much as emotion, and where every idea must be able to become a sock that is both aesthetic, durable and true to our commitments.

How does one go from sketch to technical drawing in the creation of a textile collection?

Once the universe is imagined, a meticulous work begins: the transformation of the artistic sketch into a technical drawing compatible with our knitting machines.

Our in-house designer plays a crucial role here. Using specialized software, he constructs the model mesh by mesh, with extreme precision where one pixel equals one mesh.
Each point in the design corresponds to a mechanical action: patterns, lines, gradients, finishes… nothing is left to chance to guarantee readability and feasibility on the final knit, while remaining faithful to the initial creative intention.

This digital process allows us to obtain a faithful representation of the future textile result even before turning on the first machine.

 

Why are prototypes made before launching a collection?

Before being produced, each sock goes through a series of prototypes, essential to validate the actual rendering of the patterns, the contrast of the colors, the texture or the fineness of the details.

The final model is then programmed on our knitting machines, in our factory in Limousin.
